Flex your creative muscles

We think this is one of the most accurate memes about the theatre. The performance you see is (hopefully) the polished, fluid, seemingly effortless, final result of weeks, months, even years of preparation, perspiration, coordination, inspiration, problem-solving and collaboration.

There are many different ways to learn about the intricate process behind the finished product.

Work Experience

Ensemble Theatre can accommodate work experience during the year within our production schedule. Please submit a cover letter outlining the dates of your work experience week, your skills, experience and interests in the theatre and we will check whether that week fits into our schedule. Currently, 2016 work experience opportunities are full.

We are taking 2017 enquiries from September 2016. Please email: emmag@ensemble.com.au

Q&A Nights

Stay after the performance for a Q&A with the actors and creative team to learn more about the background of a play and the process of bringing a production to the stage. Check our website for details: www.ensemble.com.au/the-hub/on-stage

We provide a number of unpaid internships to get some hands-on experience in theatre. Placements (depending on area of interest/study and availability) can include rehearsal observation, assistant stage managing, working on the production team or marketing. To express your interest in an internship, email: emmag@ensemble.com.au

Stages Play Readings

Be part of the very first audience to hear a fresh new script and contribute to a discussion with the writer, actors, director and other creatives. Designed to help emerging writers develop their work. Keep an eye on our website for dates and information about script submissions.
